| I often think of my music as “wisdom music,” music you write after a life-time of experiences. There’s very little, “I love you, you love me;” “I love you, you don’t love me;” “You love me and I don’t love you” in my songs. More often, I try to capture some insight I’ve had as I view life and my own experiences from a mature perspective. What I find, is that so often other people my age and younger have experienced the same things; had the same insights. That’s when a song really works - when it says something for a listener, something they already know but just hadn’t put into their own words.
